Thomas Leo Clancy was born in Rosedale, Maryland, U.S on the 12th of April 1947. He was a reknown novelist in the genres Techno-thriller, crime fiction, non-fiction and spy fiction, from 1969 until 2013 when he died. He wrote several novels 17 of which were best sellers. His latest novel was due to release this december. He was a joint partner in the establishment of Red Light Entertainment later bought by Ubi soft which saw to the release of the classic Tom Clancy games which includes:
The Rainbow six series
The Ghost Reckon series
The H.A.W.X series
The Splinter Cell series and
The EndWar series.
Death
Clancy died on October 1, 2013, after a brief
illness at Johns Hopkins Hospital , near his
Baltimore home. Clancy is survived by
his wife, Alexandra; their daughter, Alexis;
and four children from a previous marriage
to Wanda King: Michelle Bandy, Christine
Blocksidge, Kathleen Clancy, Ph.D., and
Thomas Clancy III.  The Chicago Tribune
quoted Pulitzer Prize-winning author
Stephen Hunter as saying, "When he
published The Hunt for Red October he
redefined and expanded the genre and as a
consequence of that, a lot of people were
able to publish such books who had
previously been unable to do so."
